Field Instrumentation

Geotechnical Observations offer a full range of geotechnical and structural instrumentation services, from planning and purchasing the required instruments, through installation and monitoring, to reporting and interpretation.

Planning

We can assist in planning instrumentation programmes for all civil engineering projects. We are able to advise on the most appropriate instrument to use and can purchase instrumentation, on your behalf, from the world’s leading suppliers.

Installation

We can supervise and/or undertake the installation of all forms of geotechnical and structural instrumentation.

Monitoring

We are able to read all common instrument types (e.g. inclinometers, extensometers, piezometers, etc.).

Reporting

We can present data in any format (e.g. spreadsheet and AGS) and supply them either electronically on CD, via email or as a paper report. We also write interpretive reports to help you understand the data.
