Electrolevel beams and an Automated Total Station

Geotechnical Observations recently designed and procured a monitoring system for a property development in the heart of London.

The picture above is of the automated total station, which is positioned on an adjacent building and surveys the position of thirteen prism targets every hour.  The observations from the total station are supported by data from sixteen 1m electrolevel beams.

Acting as part of the Client's team, GeO advised on the position of the instruments, procured the most appropriate system and set the trigger levels.  The contractor has access to live updates through an on site computer and the rest of the Client Team can receive daily updates through a website.  GeO also provide a monthly factual report.
