Dr Andrew Ridley - Managing Director

In his capacity as the Managing Director of Geotechnical Observations Andrew has overseen projects involving the assessment of desiccation, embankment and slope stability and the monitoring of buildings and deep excavations. He has sat on the Steering Groups for many industry and research projects, regularly reviews papers for geotechnical journals and has presented papers at major international conferences.

In addition to managing the company Andrew undertakes laboratory testing, field monitoring, processing and reporting. He holds competencies for working on London Underground (Entry Permit and Track Accustomed Person) and Network Rail (PTS) and is a Red Cross Appointed Person for First Aid.

Gary Evans - Office Manager / Health and Safety Officer

Gary manages the day to day running of the office and is quite possibly the first person you will speak with if you call the office. He has a NEBOSH General Certificate and is responsible for the company's health and safety. He holds competencies for working on London Underground (Entry Permit and track accustomend), Network Rail (PTS and COSS) and is a Red Cross Appointed Person for First Aid.

Dr John Kavanagh - Geotechnical Engineer

John is widely experienced in the installation of field instrumentation, laboratory testing, monitoring techniques, data processing, analysis and reporting. He holds competencies for working on London Undergound (Entry Permit, Track Accustomed Person and Site Person in Charge), Network Rail (PTS) and is a Red Cross Appointed Person for First Aid.
