GeO Flushable Piezometers

GeO flushable piezometers are used for measuring pore water pressures in embankments and slopes where there is a likelyhood of encountering negative pore water pressures.

  • Each GeO flushable piezometer is installed into a permanent plastic stem with a porous filter at the bottom.
  • The minimum borehole diameter for a single stem is 70mm. Up to three stems can be inserted into a 150mm diameter borehole and five stems can be inserted into a 200mm diameter borehole.
  • GeO flushable piezometers feature;
      •  insitu removal of air,
      •  insitu calibration checks (zero and gain),
      •  full negative range pressure measurements (0 to -90kPa) at any depth,
      •  insitu replacement of defective pressure sensors (no need to drill a new borehole),
      •  dedicated datalogger (no need to run wires around the site).

GeO flushable piezometers are ideal for short term monitoring, long term monitoring or situations where construction activity would normally result in damage to or loss of other types of piezometer.
