GeO Modular Piezometer System

The GeO modular piezometer is a unique borehole piezometer. It combines the simplicity of an open standpipe with the rapid response of a diaphragm piezometer. It is ideal for long-term projects where short term rapid monitoring is likely to be required at stages during the work (e.g. during the de-watering of an excavation).

Each piezometer consists of a 50mm diameter permanent plastic stem with a porous tip at the bottom and can be fitted with either (i) an open standpipe or (ii) a flushable electric piezometer. Within each piezometer stem the open standpipes and the flushable piezometers are interchangeable and can be exchanged or removed for re-calibration or replacement at any time.

Open standpipes are available in sizes from 10mm to 50mm and the water level in the pipe can be monitored either manually or automatically using a water level recorder.  If a faster response is required the open standpipe can be replaced with a flushable piezometer. When the need for rapid response is over the flushable piezometer can be replaced with an open standpipe, which can be manually dipped or read automatically.

At the end of the project the open standpipe or flushable piezometer can be removed and the stem can be sealed for use again in the future.
